Raise the hood and look at the back side of the light assy. You will see these star shaped screws (not the mounting screws) these screws will adjust the inner light assy. one is up/down the other is left/right.

1997 dodge ram pu 4x4, when I turn corners or start moving I hear a grinding noise coming from the rear end area. Any idea what would cause this and estimated repair?

most common cause is rear pads sticking (rust) and when you move, it has to break the rust from the rotor, hence the grinding noise.as long as it only does it when you start moving or turn first thing do not worry.....

Rear end noise on 2002 Dodge ram 1500

If you have a positraction differential, you need posi additive along with the new lube. After it's in, take it to a parking lot and make tight left turns then tight right turns to get the lube between the posi plates. That usually frees it up unless there is an actual mechanical problem in the diff.
good luck!

My truck makes a grinding noise when turning to left. I have replaced all front end parts, but the grinding got worse. Is this a wheel bearing?

Hi

You need to jack up that wheel and spin it by hand, if you hear the similar noise it is most likely a noisy wheel bearing. Also if you have revently driven over loose metal road could be stone lodged in disc assembly. Could also be the wear indicators on the disc pads "telling you" that the pads are nearly worn out.

Hope this helps cbacer

Grinding feeling in differantial

There had been a glitch in the system when you last answered. By now likely the problem would be much worse if it were a bearing or even a gear...there is an additive for posis. add it as per instructions and make a series of tight left and right turns in a parking lot to separate the posi plates. If they aren't fused, that should have some effect.

if you are not loosing brake fluid, I would guess that the master cyl. is going. If you are lossing liquid, check the wheel brake cyl.

after you fix the problem, please post, I'd like to know what you came up with
