Check your fuel pump fuse,if okay, next listen for the injectors to load when you first turn the key, like a zzzzut noise. If you do hear this and it wont start you will have to take a fuel pressure test.if the test fails I would look at the fuel pump not working

First, make sure they put oil back in the crankcase. Your motor may be seized. Next, we need to know if the fuel filter has ever been changed. If not, it's probably clogged and it will burn up the fuel pump if you continue to try to force gas into the injectors.

99 gmc suburban's oil is light brown, had no coolant

Well if the coolant escaped and there are no external leaks, something happened to the cooling system to let it into the engine oil.
Either a head gasket, intake gasket, or some other engine failure.
I would probably notify the shop that did the trans service just in case it was something they did.

Blue smoke out of tail pipe and rich smell when running? 1999 dodge intrepid 2.7ltr

That engine is known to collect gunk in the oil system. That makes it hard for oil to get to the areas necessary, and causes engine wear. It sounds like that happened here. You might consider replacing that engine with the 3.3, which doesn't have that reputation.
The rich smell is probably just the computer trying to compensate for the oil getting past the rings/valves.

Replace the oil pressure sensor located near the oil filter. When this part starts to fail you will see your oil pressure gauge bounce all around

1999 GMC Suburban turns over but won't start

It sounds like the choke is the most likely culprit. Take the air cleaner off the throttle body/Carburater. Have someone cover most of the throttle body/Carburater intake, if you don't have help use a piece of heavy cardboard. If it starts up right away it's the choke. Note: if you use cardboard don't rev the engine you may **** the cardboard into the engine.
I'm afraid with all the different types of choke controls I can't tell you how to fix your choke with out actually seeing it.

Starting Problem 1999 GMC Suburban, 1500

turn the key to the on pos. and listen for a huming in the rear of the car as your fuel pump is in the tank. if you don't hear it then i would say that the pump is bad and need to be replace, but if you hear it it could be weak . try takeing off the air cleaner and spray some quick start down the intake and try starting it . if it start i would replace the pump . very easy to replace.
