The thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose goes into the engine

It is towards the back the engine just under the throttle body. Follow the large exit hose coming out of the bottom of the radiator and its inside that housing that it attaches to.

My 93 honda accord lx is over heating what do i do?

The first thing is to make sure the coolant is full, check it when the engine is cool, check radiator level, if coolant is full then check for bad thermostat, run engine and as it overheats check both hoses to make sure they are both hot, if one is hot and the other warm then you will need to replace the thermostat.if both hoses are hot then you may have a bad cooling fan or sensor, hope this is helpful.

It sounds very much like the Engine Management Temp Sensor is dormant.

The EMTS acts as the choke and aids starting, they are quite cheap and easy to replace.

The item is located in the thermostat housing.

1993 Honda Accord No Heat/Defrost

You will have to drain the radiator. Drain at bottom.
Then, follow the top radiator hose back to where it connects to the engine.
The part with the two bolts in it that the hose connects to is the thermostat housing.
You may have to remove the hose in order to remove the housing.
When you have removed the housing, note the position of the thermostat before you remove it.
When installing, use new gasket, etc.
(you might be able to get away with not removing the radiator hose, but it is recommended)
Be prepared for a bit of spillage when you remove the housing.
