Kb6030 purges when swiced on works fine when under presure

The evos sytem on chevys is the problem,,,evap operating system,,,evos,,, the vent valve soliniod, or vent valve purge,,on the intake of the engine is sticking in the open position,, i cant remember which its called but its the one on the intake,,, what happens is it sticks open position and when you fill your car with gas it pushes all the gas fumes into the intake,,, causeing a flooding ,no start , or hard start situation,,,if you cant or dont want to fix,it, you can leave your car running when getting gas it will be fine ,,which is the cheap fix,,,, the evos system has 4 componets,,, vent valve solinoid, vent valve purge, charcole canister, fuel presure sensor(top of fuel tank) all can be replaced for around 125 bucks if you do some seaching around and doing the labor yourself,,check out you tube,,,

thats normal if your fuel injector over presurizes it will purgr gass to the evap cannister the use it later. sometimes some vaper leaks out. should not worry unless it is so strong of a smell that you have then you mave have a leak. most of the time its nothing.

Evap ,,, bad gas cap,,,not venting,,,,,,,evap purge valve,,, under truck, has trash in it,,,,,,,,,evap solinoid,,, under hood stuck open,,,,all 3 pieces together are less than 100 bucks,,,,,,,, get the whole assenbly(purge valve) at pep boys,,, 31 bucks,, the othe 2 are 20 to30 each,,,get any where, also could be a a bad fuel presure sensor in the top of the gas tank,,, very rare not likly or the charcole canister ,,,never seen one bad,,,,if you have a odb2 scaner tool,scan down to the evap vp and evap purge,, at cold start the evap vp (h20)..,,,0.125...,and stay fairly steady, if it rises steady the solinoid under the hood is bad or stuck,,, .The evap purge should be 0.000 for about 90 seconds then open and be around 11-15% at idle,,,,

to bleed the slave cly. you need a lot of pactence, and a good working clutch master cyl. pump it up 5 times or until you feel presure in the pedel and hold, and open the bleeder , and repet many times until all the air is out and you have a good pedel.

there should be no need to bleed , just a few cycles of the key should purge the air out

check the fuel presure reg but first check fuel ammount place fuel line un hooked in 1 galon glass jar turn ignition to run position container should fill quickly mesure fuel amount from single cycle call dealer ask what flow amount should be with single purge cycle
this will tell you if pump or filter are problem it will allow you to see if fuel filter is pooched and **** is bypassing also or if it is pluged

if results proper or close to dealer spec check fuel rail for bad fuel presure regualor if reg bad there will be little or no fuel presure even during purge cycle if flow high and finger cant hold presure if is usually fine and reg is bad pick up new reg from salvage it will cost 5 - 20 bucks and if a likely culprit

Ok filter problem could be there filters that have a valve used to chek the oil gallery is not downloaded and so when the engine begins to work up the pressure quickly. Also in other systems, this valve is fitted in the pump aceite.thanks good luck

most common cause of no spark is the ignition module located under the coil

hi how are you?just because you hear the fuel pump running does not mean that it is pumping enough preasuer to the motor to open the injectors. you need 48 lbs with key on engine off and with the vacume line off the presure regulator.if you have enough presure then you will have to check for a good blue spark.the fuel presure test port is located just under the thermostat housing on the steel fuel rail.

Ok i have the same make and model car.And had same problem but i was only needing new hoses. thwe code reader will not tell you if they are bad you just have to check this. The purge valve and canister is located under hood on passenger side behind bumper. look behind the light through the openings. You have to raise car up and do the repairs from under the bottom of the bumper.On passenger side under hood above the wheel fender and between the engine you will see a emmision line about the size of a pencil leads to the purge valve. the valve cost about $18.00 and canister cost around $75.00 at auto zone. The canister is the square box and sometimes you can take apart and clean it and put back together and it should work fine.
