There is a loose connection on the small wire that hooks to the starter. jack up the car and tap on the wire and starter and it will crank. i had to put a new crimp connector on mine. its starting just fine now. done this to 3 1994's and 2 1993's good luck let me know how it goes. sawdust46

My 2004 crown victoria sit for 3weeks then went and turned the key nothing happed . The batterie is good

You actually know how old the battery is?

You tested the battery, at least for 12.6 volts
or removed it & had it tested?

You checked the connections for being loose?

Most likely the starter solenoid is bad, with burnt
contacts
Tap lightly on the solenoid,if it starts, pull the starter
& replace it's solenoid

Dead cell in Battery? Take positive cable off battery while running and then it should stay running that mean the alternator is working. So you want to check battery out for dead cell in battery if that is the case it will not take a charge.

I would suspect you need a new battery and yours has a dead cell. Remove the battery and have it tested at any auto parts store.

New battery and it still won't crank at times.

you would need an ohm meter or a test light to figure out what is drawing voltage. you probably have short some where or, just perhaps the ignition switch is bad.
