SOURCE: air suspension not wrking
check the air suspension switch in the trunk, should be on the right hand side facing the trunk. make sure it's on. when ever you raise the vehicle, you have to turn it off. someone might have forgot to turn it back on. good luck.

no the air supply line must be leaking to the air bag, go back and complain, these bags last about 75-100,000 miles.
SOURCE: change rear air bag in suspension
hi i live in ontario california i want to change my rear air bags suspension ford 2001 expedition you cant help me please i need instruccions step by step thank you
If you have Air suspension this can happen. The noise you hear like from an engine is actually the airpump trying to keep up.
The hissing is air escaping and the bouncing is an indication that the suspension is not fully inflated.
There are individual bleed valves so the system can be leveled by itself. The valve on one suspension unit may be leaking. Sometimes soapy water sprayed while the part is working and again while shut off will show a leak.
Some Makes have a diagnostic plug which a scanner can read to find the problem. Often a car is jacked or lifted on a rack and someone did not turn off the Air system and knocked it out of alignment.
I hope my solution is helpful and enables you to diagnose the problem now.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your input. The problem with the Noise is not the Air Compressor .... The compressors noise is not deep but a bit sharp but the Noise that I hear is like a heavy deep engine sound and it only comes on when travelling above 60 KMH speed. I will take my car to the workshop and discus what you have mentioned and hopefully we will find a solution soon. Thanks "
