How 2 replace the heater core correctly......thank you mr c.e.johnson

I think the best thing to do is get a haynes manual for your ford explorer. you can buy one at any auto parts store, they are based on a complete teardown of vehicle. this book will show you how. because the dash has to come out to repair heater core. SORRY!! have a good one ! the manuals run between 20 and 25.00 dollars. to many details to mention.

I need to know the length of the battery cables, as I am replacing the old.

All you do is go to an auto parts store
or dealer and buy what you need.

You don't need to know how long they are

You take your old ones and any old part to
match up,always

The battery light in my 91 ford explorer is on. i changed the alternater and the battery, when i boost it, it will run untill i take the booster cables off then it will stall out.

sounds like a bad ground cable or loose cable. also check to make sure the battery cable ends are clean and not corroded or cracked where they make contact to the battery.

How do you pull the in-take from a 1996 ford explorer

First buy the Haynes repair manual from Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. There are a few things that need to be removed - like ignition coils, etc - and the $25 book is well worth the expense. If you have the 5.0 v8, I can tell you to take your time because it's going to be a while. Pay particular attention when removing and replacing the rear bolts because space is limited and visibility is poor. Also, have an assortment of socket and extention lengths. This job was a real PITA.

My terminals are bad and i cant find the right cables for my batter. the cables are corroding.. and my car is sucking my battery dry very quickly. what are the right cables!!!! its getting annoying that i...

Your local Mercury or Ford dealer will have those battery cables. Obviously will cost a few bucks, but they will be the right size.
Or you can go to a local parts store where you can buy battery cable per foot, right diameter (called wire gauge size-- take your old cables for matching) and length.
Then you will have to buy the terminal ends which you can either crimp or solder the battery cable to.
Also you will be needing different battery terminal posts to hook up the battery cables to the battery.
Good Luck.

You can replace the bearings. They are available here:,carcode,1119697,parttype,1672

You should also be able to buy them at your local parts store.

I recommend buying the Haynes manual. It will help a lot with vehicle repairs
