Check out your rear suspension and ball joints. It can cause those issues.

Have you removed either tire for rotation .flat. ect. That alone isenough to throw you alignment out of wack. Plus 12.000 miles I would think you would be happy with the life youve gotten out of that set of tires. Buy a new set of tires and be thankful this set gave you goid long life
SOURCE: rear wheel/brake noise
first check condition of discs and pads if all is good drive and pull up handbrake slowly to see if its the handbrake shoes making the noise if still a problem will most probably be rear wheel bearings
SOURCE: uneven rear tire wear
you need a 4 wheel alignment to check angles and see if can adjust or something bent
SOURCE: At 1500 miles the front
once a were pattern is worn in tire s unless you rotate tires to the rear they will keep wearing you should rotate your tires every oil change especially if you do alot of around town driving i am willing to bet you that good year lied to you about the alignment i am sure the dealer put it into spec the first time you just need to rotate them a little more often

You most likely have an alignment problem. If BOTH FRONT TIRES are worn the same ( inside edge worn ), that would indicate a TOE- OUT problem such as ( \ / ) . Picture those 2 lines as your front tires going down the road . Hope this helps.
SOURCE: My C70 has way more wear on the inside of the rear
2.5 degrees negative camber is not within spec. You need new control arms in the rear. These will set your camber back to the factory setting and reduce your tire wear on the inner edge. The first shop you went to is correct, the camber cannot be adjusted, components must be replaced to rectify the excessive camber. Ive done a couple of New Style C70 rear control arms for this very reason, if your vehicle is under warranty however, the dealer needs to be able to prove that the car needs it. So if you dont have wear on your tires and when the toe was set it readjusted the camber (when you adjust toe it affects camber and caster measurements) then they cant prove to Volvo that it needs the control arms. I hope this helps
