Pretty sure its under the hood on the driver side in the fuse box, take the lid off and look at the underside for location.

If the batt tests good, I'd check the solenoid. Bypass the solenoid by giving power directly to the starter motor. If the Engine turns over, your have a bad solenoid. If not you have a bad starter motor.

Starter removal in mirage 2000 1.8L

The starter is located by the firewall under the exhaust manifold. It is very hard to get to. Raise the air filter assembly out of the way and you can get at it from the top. Good luck!!!
