The switch has to be replaced, the switch is not fixable, or if you did t would not be worth the cost of labor to repair it and there would be no warrenty, they are not to hard to repace.

Finding a short in turn signal switch

The problem may not be the switch unless there is a ground wire running thru it. Most likely, the switch turns on a circuit that has a dead short ( power straight to ground).
Has the car been hit causing a pinched wire? Any recent changes to the car?
I would connect a lamp in instead of the fuse where the fuse goes (to energize the circuit while searching for the short), turn the signal switch on and the lamp should turn on bright. Trace the wiring harness involved and disconnect the harness if possible, at a connector jack, starting near the signal lamp involved. When the dead short is disconnected or removed, the test lamp connected to the fuse holder should dim or shut off.

Wnt start

There were concerns about lurching on start-ups and the Manufacturers developed safeguards to prevent this. On some manual transmission models there is a safety switch on the clutch pedal lever. On automatics, it is a switch on the Brake pedal lever.

Sometimes named the "Boo" switch, it sends a signal to complete the starter solenoid circuit. You will notice the Brake lights are out on the automatic models.

Without this signal, the starter circuit will be quite dead. It is common to be broken or misaligned when a Drivers' foot hits this switch. As for the green/purple wire-free wiring diagrams are available from Autozone.com when you register with their site. Their site has both free and pay info at the bottom of their Homepage help section.

Yes, you have a dead short / either Hot to Hot, or Hot to ground. Very likely a shorted bulb or bulb socket. Maybe a crushed wiring location under the chassis ?

Signal lights stop workingno sound no lights. Fuse

likely a short
also it is likely the flasher reley was the original problem now you have likely fryed some wiring with what ever you were doing with the signal light switch it is likely you will have to replace the switch also
good luck hope it helps
unplug the switch and replace fuse
if fuse doesnt blow and every thing works
then you likely cliped some wires or striped the sheilding and created a dead short hopefully it hasnt permiated past the plug or you beter buy some tape and zip ties as it is going to be a long night
and i would sugest some A535 rub for your back after laying under the dash tonight

Blows fuse #22 when you use the sunvisor mirror.

You have probably got a dead short somewhere in the system.  Not often but on a rare occasion when a bulb blows is will cause a dead short.  Look at all the lights that are associated with that system.  Replace the bulbs that are not working or ones that are dimly glowing.  I suspect it may be in the sunvisor or trunk considering those are the two things that are causing you problems
