I can't open my trunk. it feels like its stunk onto something? the power release sounds when unlocked is pressed so i guess its not electrical.. . could it be something had melted together?

It might help to know what make/model/year car it is. I had the same problem with my car, and I was able to crawl into the trunk by letting one of the back seats down. There is an emergency release on the latch in case somebody gets locked into the trunk, and that still worked.
The latch simply needed lubrication. Some white grease, and it's all fine again.

How do I close my trunk? It was -30 yesterday and I had to pop the trunk, since then I have not been able to close it. Additionally the fuel door is not working either, so they may both need to be fixed....

if you have a chance to put the car in a heated garage somewhere for some hours it would help...
-after the car is warmed up you need to spray some silicone spray on the trunk door and around all the rubber sealing and the fuel door hinge to have it better prepared for freezing temperatures.... blog carlist my

Trunk latch is not lock even with the slam the trunk down hard.

it sounds as if the locking latch on the rear panel has been distorted with the heavy load, smother the lock on the trunk with grease and gently lower down and see where the grease leaves a mark , this way you can see where the latch on the rear panel should be , both the lock on the trunk and the latch on the rear panel have some adjustment so you will have to adjust both until they line up again

adjust the latch so that the catch will lock over properly. You may need to use a round bar ( screwdriver blade ) Place it under the latch and while pressing on the release button pull the latch out to the open position. The latch may be 1/2 closed before the boot is put down and the latch will not go any further

Trunk latch is stuck. trunk will not close. help

Its possible that it is just sticky, i dont know for sure what style your car has but if it the kind with the lever in the drivers side floorboard, get a buddy to hold the lever up for you and try to GENTLY pry the latch its self open with a flat head screw driver then spray some white lithium grease on it and work the trunk lid a few times

The trunk lock latch is in the lock position in the trunk and the key will not open the trunk in a 1994 pontiac grand am

Often, the trunk latch does not get lubricated enough(I can tell you from my dealer tech experience that places like Jiffy Lube NEVER service the body latches).Try pulling the release handle while some else "slaps" the trunk lid. This usually works on the hood, trunk, and remote fuel door release.I would see many Grand Ams that were only 2-3 years old with these problems.

Cadillac 96 deville - Trunk won't close

Try spraying the inner portion of it with some WD40 or similar lubricant. It sounds like something must be stuck. After you spray it, keep working the key and pushing the remote until you get some results. Good luck. Let me know how you make out.

Trunk jammed, driver side latch wont' work, keys wont work

You will have to get in the trunk through the back seats, and try and unbolt the latch catch off of the body. Then you will probably have to change both parts if you cannot get the catch out of the latch.
