Have you had the emissions system checked out lately?

sometimes a worn-out catalytic converter will present this sort of an issue.

just a thought...

What would cause the van to start spitting sputtering misfire when going up hill or encline

Could be clogged fuel injectors. I had a problem similar to this. Car ran okay on flat areas but would spit and sputter going up inclines. I took mine to an oil change place and they ran a cleaner through the system. This fixed the problem and I put an injector cleaner in with every 3rd tank of gas to keep this from happening again.

1996 audi a4 quattro seemed out of gas, fueled, now won't turn over but seems to want to

Does the fuel gage read any higher now that you put fuel in it? If so, It was probably out of gas like you suspected. However, running a vehicle out of gas is extremely ******* fuel pumps. If your fuel pump was worn, with a lot of miles, it is probably toast now.

Going down the road and the engine cuts off but every thing else is working i have the right psi on the full line had it towed to the house the next day went out and started it it ran for about 2 or 3 min...

sounds like one of two things, first things first make sure your car has gas in it sometimes the gage can be off and show gas in it when there is very little, if the car is parked on a hill that could also be letting the gas flow away from the fuel pump also causing the car to sputter, If it has gas then your fuel pump is out and will need replaced. hope this helped

When I start the car, it will sputter. It runs OK and that sputter stops when the speed gets up to 35-40 but when you stop, it is there again. Going up a hill, there was no hesitation. This is a 1994...

check sparkplug wires, may be time for a tune-up. also those engines have injector problems, the problem is they need cleaning, with a motor vac machine, may have to go to a garge, good luck, start there.

Engine Clugs and Sputter while driving up a hill

Check the fuel filter to see if it is plugged.
Remove the fuel filter, and blow air through it in the normal direction of fuel flow. You should be able to blow through it very easily. If it feels restricted, try blowing through it the opposite way, and if there is a lot of dirt coming out, you have found a common cause of this problem. Hope this helps.

Engine doesnt like to start on a hill when low on gas.

Because you have limited gas, the small amount of gas that you have in there isnt being sent thru your fuel line because ur on a slant. Thus when your level, gas is distributed evenly in the tank and fed thru your fuel system. duh.

Engine/Fuel Pump; Engine sputters when I hit the accelerator.

CHECK THE FUEL FILTER FIRST.IF THE FILTER IS PLUGGED U CAN HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT U NEED TO CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE.THERE IS A FUEL PRESSURE TEST PORT ON THE FUEL INJECTION RAIL(TOP OF THE ENGINE)THE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 40-47PSI.KEY ON ENGINE OFF.
