Very well could be the head gasket. The 3.0 v-6 VIN U (8th digit in the vehicle identification number is a U) had a problem with head gaskets blowing. Typically when they blow the heads crack and need replaced. the repair is VERY EASY to do, i suggest buying th haynes manual and getting started. check the heads and good luck.

94 Taurus started sounding like a diesel then wouldn't accelerate and overheated way past the red line and died out, will not start, sounds like it has a dead battery when trying to start, any...

The most common cause of this situation is a lack of coolant. It could also be low oil level but coolant is the most common cause. Your best bet would be to look for a new motor. Check at your local salvage yard. Hope this helps.

Drive 5 miles and starts up fine, drive 30 miles and wont restart

Sounds like a fuel pump overheating. Drive until it wont start then check the fuel pressure. If no gauge when it wont start try some starting fluid. You should also check your fuel pump relay.

If you try to start my fiero 1986 2.8 it sounds like a lawn mower and then sometimes when you try to start it it wont actually wont start? i have replaced everything even the wiring , ecm, sensors, pl

It sounds like you are missing 1 or more cylinders. Replace your plugs if you have not done so recently and make sure they are set to the proper gap. Then try the car again. If you still have a miss, check the wires for continuity with a volt meter. You may need a new set of wires especially if these are original. Check your distributor cap and rotor for corrossion and replace if they show signs of wear.

I have a strange sound coming from my car as I am driving it. It sounds like lawn mower or a loud and heavy humming sound.

axle cvc joints or its your tiress,,,,most likely tires,,but if you jack front wheeels and have someone put in gear and listen as you turn wheels left to right,,if no noise,,,get some tires and an alignment
