The fuel pump is in the fuel tank.Best way to check it is to pull the fuel lines off that are under the hood at the fuel rail going to the injectors and then checking if fuel sprays out when cranking the engine

Where is the fuel pump reset switch located on a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee

There is no intertia switch on a 98 Cherokee, it probably needs a new fuel pump

2003 grand am wont start

Check obvious problems first. Do you have any indicator dash lights on when trying to crank the engine? A security light means your Passlock system is malfunctioning. If you can turn the engine, then the battery is most likely ok but you can disconnect it for about 5 minutes then reconnect it which will reset the computer. I had an issue with a 99 grand am dieing after starting. Pushing the key in kept it running. Turns out my ignition switch in the dash went bad. There are three coil packs in the v-6 and two in the 4 cylinder. A loose wire would more likely be the cause. Check the fuses under the hood in the convenience center. A bad computer, module near the coil packs, or a bad hall effect cam sensor could cause the fuel injectors to not fire and cut off the fuel supply. Check the fuel pump to see if its working by turning the key to on but not cranking it. If you hear a 2 second sound of the pump then a click then the fuel pump is most likely working.

03 mach 1 cranks no start

A 6 year old car with only 5,900 miles on it would indicate that it was sitting for long periods of time. I would check the fuel filter first if it does not seem to be getting fuel.

I would also check the fuel pump shut off switch, should be located in the trunk on the drivers side. (owners manual will tell you for sure)

1998 mustang 3.8 v6 will not start.

First I would check the fuel shut off switch, push down on the red button, switch is located in trunk. Make sure you are getting fuel and fuel pump fuse is ok. You can remove fuel line from fuel filter and turn key on to see if fuel comes out of hose and also get a glass jar and take a fuel sample to see if anything is in fuel. Sounds like you may be having a fuel problem.

Car will crank then cut off??????

Look in the trunk in the left quarter panel area near the back of the tail lamp and you will see a small black module with a red or white button on top of it.This is the fuel pump inertia switch designed to trip during impact to shut off the fuel pump. Just push down on the button until u feel it click. Then cycle the ignition switch from off to on a couple of times to prime the pump and you should be set to go.
