After turning ingnition on-off 5 times, i get the code (mil light) flashes 3-3-3-4. Then get the 55 flashes. Can anybody help me on this. Does anyone know what it means. My truck doesn't idle right, stalls at stops, terrible acceleration. Very annoying to say the least. I need help to find what i can change to fix this problem. Thanks
I own a 2002 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4.7, my engine light came on about a week ago even though nothing seems wrong with the truck. now the airbag light comes on also. does anyone know how to reset or shut this off?

Be advised that the MIL or CHECK ENGINE light can only perform a limited number of functions and it is a good idea to have the system checked with a scan tool to double check the circuit function.
Within a period of 5 seconds, cycle the ignition key ON - OFF - ON - OFF - ON .
Count the number of times the MIL (check engine lamp) on the instrument panel flashes on and off.
The number of flashes represents the trouble code. There is a short pause between the flashes representing the 1st and 2nd digits of the code. Longer pauses are used to separate individual 2-digit trouble codes.
An example of a flashed DTC is as follows:
Lamp flashes 4 times, pauses, then flashes 6 more times. This denotes a DTC number 46.Lamp flashes 5 times, pauses, then flashes 5 more times. This indicates a DTC number 55. DTC 55 will always be the last code to be displayed.
Without a scanner insert the key in to the ignition turn the ignition to on then off then on again then if again and then on do not crank the engine do this within seconds and then look for the check engine light to flash. 1 pause follow by two flashes is code 12 when there aren't any more codes to display the light will flash 5 times pause and flash 5 more times this is 55 indicating that the process is complete.
LOOK UNDER LEFT SIDE DASH UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN OR USE IGNITION KEY SYSTEM TURN IGNITION SWITCH ON OFF ON OFF ON WITHIN 5 SECONDS THE MIL OR MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT WILL FLASH CODES IN MORSE CODE LIKE MIL LIGHT FLASHES 2 TIMES PAUSE FEW SECONDS THEN FLASHES 4 TIMES THAT CODE 24 LOOK UP CODE IN THE CODE MANUAL FOR CHRYSLER TRUCKS, YOU NEED TO LOOK IN THE OBD I CODES 1988 MODEL HAS OBD I CODES.
What fault codes do you have? to check for fault codes using the check engine light blink method do the following, turn the key to run and then off, then to run and then off, then to run and watch the check engine light, count the blinks, there will be a pause and then more blinks, that is the code(s) So lets say it blinks 2 times and then 5 times, that is code 25. Google the code or codes under the heading: "Dodge OBD1 fault codes"
FIRST YOU TURN IGNITION SWITCH ON WITH ENGINE OFF.LOOK AT MIL LIGHT IT SHOULD COME ON 3 SECONDS THEN GO OFF IT NOT THEN YOU GOT BURN OUT BULB OR A CIRCUIT PROBLEM.IF ALL IS WELL. ATTEMPT TO START ENGINE.TURN OFF IGNITION. WITH OUT STARTING ENGINE.TURN IGNITION ON OFF ON OFF AND WITHIN 5 SECONDS RECORD 2 DIGIT DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES.DISPLAYED BY FLASHING MIL LIGHT.YOUR MIL FLASHES WILL BE YOUR CODE LIKE THE MIL LIGHT FLASHES 5 TIMES THEN PAUSE FLASHES 3 TIMES THAT CODE 53 THAT YOUR CODE.IT LIKE MORSE CODE.WHEN DONE TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH.GO TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO GET HAYNES COMPUTER CODE BOOK. TO GET CODE MEANING OR WHAT SENSOR GONE BAD.HOPE THIS CAN BE SOME HELP.
