Driver side sliding door on 04 freestar van non power wont open after opening and closing the fuel door

There is obviously a switch on the fuel door that prevents the sliding door from operating while the fuel door is open. Look for that switch and spray some electrical cleaner (or even "Brake Kleen" from an auto parts store). Both evaporate quickly without leaving residue. The switch is probably "gunky."

2004 freestar transaxle light flashing after driving for around five minutes. Took to autozone they didn't get any codes. The PVC hose elbow was compressed and cracked with some oil residue in it.

if auto zone used a simple scanner possible wouldnt pick upon a manufacturer code --trans axle warning light can be from a fluid problem to a bad sensor need to check level and or fluid condition--as to pressure in tank your fuel tank is under pressure that was normal release when you opened the cap

in the case that has your jack you will find some rods that are connected together to make the shape of a "T". My battery in my 2004 Ford Freestar just went totally dead. I heard a noise(clicking) in my right rear door while van was being given a boost. But the battery would not turn over. All my lights,...

no. the clicking is a relay being opened and closed rapidly due to the electrical current being sent thru the system. this should not ever happen. it is a sign that you have a short on that side of the vehicle. generally it indicates that the ground wire coming from the battery is contacting the body somewhere. inspect that wire and tape any bare spots.

2004 Freestar hatch will not unlock

There is a tendancy for the Triggers from the handle to Disengage internally to the Latch due to Wear and Tear, or sometimes Stressing the Mechanism when the Tailgate is Locked and someone forgot.
Gently unfasten the trim panels around the Tailgate, from the INSIDE, and if you THINK about the project, you will be able to release enough of this All in One piece enough to trip the triggers by hand, and open the Tailgate. Continue to unfasten the moulded grips, and remove the whole panel. This will then give you the access to fix the Release mechanism, mounted on the Tailgate inner body.

2004 Freestar- the liftgate won't open. Is there a manual way to open it?

If you go into the back of the cargo area and on the inside panel of the door there is a little square plug take it out and inside that panel there is wire pull on it and the door will pop open..

2004 ford freestar drivebelt

All you need is a 13mm boxed end wrench. The tensioner pulley is the one all the way on the bottom towards the rear of the van. You can reach it under the van. Slide under the van in front of the passenger front tire and you will wee the pulley. Put the wrench on the bolt and pull towards you to release the tension on the belt.
