My ford 460 has no oil pressure at all, but still runs no noise after 20 kilometers ready to pull motor out as i think I done a oil pump shaft open to opinions ,thanks to all

i would not imagine that to be the case as fuel pumps start on ignition turn on so that fuel pressure is supplied for starting
However it is possible that there is a low pressure switch in the oil galley that turns off the engine if the oil pressure drops below safe level
That unit if failing would not allow the engine to start until the minimum oil pressure was reached
That unit would be reporting to the ECM which controls spark

I think I would pull the distributor out and see if the gears are still there. And check the shaft that runs down to the pump.

If you're not getting fuel to the carburetor, check/change your fuel filter, check the fuel pump. And for the oil pressure you can change the oil pressure sending unit to see if thats the problem, for the oil pump the oil pan has to come off, it can be changed without pulling the engine, however you still have to lift the engine up.

Pull a couple of the sp. plugs out and see if there is fuel on them. If not pull the o2 sensor out of the exhaust and see if it starts. It will run rough but should start and run. If it does start you have a plugged catalytic converter or muffler and it is putting back pressure on the engine and not allowing the fuel into the cylinders.

did you prime the oil pump, if not you locked the oil pump up. when installing a new oil pump you must prime it with new oil. if your cam isn't turning it sounds like your cam broke or your timing chain broke.

Oil sending sensor may be defective. Some things are cheaper to replace like this, than having a diagnostics run, and then buying the part and labor. It's a simple job. near the oil filter. Cost maybe $15-$20. It takes about 2-3 min to change out. You may be able to remove it with your basic wrench. Be sure to have old newspaper laying down and a oil can. Newspaper is for the oil that don't make it to the bucket and not get soaked into that nice drive. Careful, let the engine sit to cool down, there will be oil flowing out when removed. The oil will be hot if not cooled down first.

You lost the sealve the connects the distributor shaft tot he oil pump shaft or don't have it seated all the way.

try a better filter wix?

you need to have someone check the oil pressure to see if it is actually losing pressure or if sending unit is going bad. this is done with a mechanical gauge. Or you can just replace sending unit this is about a $20 part so cheap enough to just try. If you are actually losing pressure then you have scored bearings on the crank shaft. If not too bad can replace main bearings and a new oil pump.
