I had the same problem. Pop the Hood and look under the FireProof Lining on the underside of the hood. Back toward the windshield you will probably see it leaking from there. Replace the old and dried out hosing in there and hopefully you'll be ok. I was. Although I actually had to add a hose clamp to the wiper hose near the firewall because it kept falling loose with too much pressure from the pump. Just keep an eye on it and you'll be ok.

E39 front wipers are not working but water is coming out

No water should not come out of the front of an air conditioner. The front part of the air conditioner needs to be raised slightly higher than the back.

Hi there, how do you fill up the rear window wiper washer water for a toyota estima van 2003? Thanks, Eileen

The rear washer fluid comes from the main reservoir under your hood for the front window. Sometimes the rear will not work because it is not filled high enough, hope this helps

I have not seen a remote filter for these they are usually on the motor itself. Take the hose loose from the pump and see if it is actually pumping out water or is it just running. If it is pumping pretty strong trace the rubber tube up to the wipers and make sure there is no breaks in it anywhere.

The jet is probably blocked. Remove the pipe from the jets and see if water comes from the pipe. If it does, blow the jets free using compressed air, normally you can use the local garage tyre inflater, or a friendly repair garage will give them a squirt for free.
If water doesn't come through when you test, then the pipe may be blocked or even split. If blocked you can take it off and blow free using your mouth, and if split just replace.

Rear wiper and washer of BMW 5 E39 not working

I had the same problem. I thought it was an issue with a blown fuse, but also noticed that the rear wiper was very stiff.
I solved it by opening the rear window (so the wiper is not clicked into the motor) then squirt some WD40 into the wiper mechanism (I put the oil in from the outside). Gently move the wiper from side to side until it starts to free up - after a couple of movements the wiper should be moving freely again. No issues since.

At the same time, check that the washer jet is correctly angled. Mine was squirting directly into the wiper which may have caused it to rust up a bit.
