Hi my 2006 3.2 blows puffs of un-burnt diesel smoke intermittently after it has been driven in traffic

have the variable vanes in the turbo checked for correct operation
there is an actuator that is vacuum
electrical sensor controlled and the vanes may be sticking at slow engine operations as on traffic
the smoke color indicates incorrect air/fuel ratio and the turbo is a point to investigate

Trouble starting, blows smoke, high revs, fuel leak out of exhaust.

first push starting it was bad. sounds like a stuck exhaust valve. and I think you had a dead ignition coil causing 1 cylinder not to fire, and it was fill with gas ,and then you forcing it to start did more damage

We have a 3.2 DiD Misubishi Pajero and I think the injector pump is playing up. The car has just started surge and run rough and then starts to smoke like to much diesel is getting into the motor white...

You generally only get white fuel smoke from a diesel when one or more cylinders aren't firing. If it were injecting more fuel than can be burned into a cylinder that is firing you'd get black smoke. You can get gray smoke from a cylinder that is firing cold or late, but blue obnoxious smoke is more common with late injector pump timing. Dirty/failed injectors also generally make a rude blue smoke.

Run a can of Diesel Kleen through it. If you can't get it where you are call a local truck service and ask what they recommend for cleaning the pump.

Check and keep watch on the oil and coolant- white smoke from a warmed up diesel is usually coolant that is getting into the combustion chamber, typically from a failed head gasket or cracked head/block.

If you see any oil floating on the surface of the coolant, or if the oil starts to look milky, this motor must be serviced and the issue found or it won't last long.

Hi i have a mitsubishi pajero enjin light came on then it started missing and blowing black smoke

If you have an auto zone nearby have them check the codes probably a sensor went bad .Im thinking a map sensor but without testing its only a guess Start with the last code read first than work back if their are multible codes.

We are looking at buying a 1992 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.0l EFI. It is blowing out white smoke soon after start up suspected blown head gasket/s. How easy would it be to replace it and get timing right?

Relative to other engines with the same size, the degree of difficulty is the same since most types of vehicles has the timing gear/chain facing the radiator. As long at you know where the timing lines line up and you should be good to go.

1993 mitsubishi pajero exceed-intercooler turbo 2800 diesel engine 4m40

Hi, I have a Pajero 2800 Turbo 1995 Auto. It has developed a bad oil leak somewhere around the front right hand side (from the front) where there seems to be oil spraying over the pipes, etc. Can't see it happening with the engine running and have cleaned the engine off but still can't see where it comes from. It has emptied the sump! Any ideas?
Cheers,
Rob.
