Most likely and more commonly it does. You can go to yourlocal auto parts store(most can do this) and ask them to put the code reader on it. Then take that list of codes(1 or more) and have them tell you whatthey mean or you could just take it to a shop for like and oil change or maintenance check up and ask them to scan the computer for codes.

Your check engine light can come on for multiple reasons I would run it by your local Autozone and they'll scan it for free it could some as simple as an oil change

I have codes p2110 and p2138 2007 Kia Optima seems to have problems when it is cold and damp outside and once the check engine light comes on and it gets slugish I restart the car after waitng a couple...

you sid that it will go off and the engine idle is good, it means the trouble is now cleared. the history of that problem came from electronic throttle control and the accelerator position sensor, if this happens again, just clean the throttle valve and inspect and clean the pedal sensor, change if necessary

Check engine line stays on

Sometimes the manufacturers code the vehicle's computer to come on to remind owners it is due for servicing. Disconnect the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes. This should reset the computer and cause it to initiate a diagnostic cycle. If the light comes back on, check the fuses. My car blew a 40 amp fuse each time I hit the brakes too hard, causing the light to come on. Although it is not recommended, I changed it to a 50 amp fuse and the light never came on again.

2008 kia optima LX Check Engine Light

P0456 EVAP Leak Monitor .020 Leak Detected

replace your gas cap and clear codes, then wait and see if light comes back on, if it does you have a more serious problem like a fuel tank leak or a defective fuel tank pressure sensor.

My 2006 kia optima airbag indicator light stays on

my advise to you is not to attempt a repair to the airbag system yourself. The airbag module can be set off by static electricty & goes off with the force of a shotgun blast

Ingine will try to start but wont turn over they say i need a crankshaft sensor

QUESTION: Has anyone VERIFIED it's the Crank Sensor? Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.
If you find P0335 - Crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction, then I'd say they are correct (after you eliminate wiring/connections as the cause).
