91 dodge w150 360 Does this vehicle have that o2 sensor for the cataylic converter cause i want to know if i put a new cat on there it wont mess up the sensor ( if present )

Yes it does have an 02 sensor I recomend replacing the 02 sensor and doing a tune-up after replacing a converter

I have a 2002 dodge ram 4.7 this may sound crazy but will cutting the catalytic converters off my truck mess with my o2 sensors? Or will there not be enough back pressure

The problem would not be back pressure, but rather the lack of change between the sensors.
The sensor in front of the cat is supposed to be more active than the one after the cat. So without a cat in between, the two sensors would be fairly equal and that would cause trouble codes. The engine computer would think correctly that the cat was not working.

If i have had both catalytic converters replaced could the shop have not put the correct ones on? I was told the vehicle needs high efficiency catalytic converter

wer the o2 sensors replaced? were factory cats put in? universal cats are highly probable for comebacks.cats will not go bad on their own. there is always a reason. if the light went out for awhile and came back and thats the only thing you replaced, then its very probable that the cause of the first problem recreated the new problem on these cats.

Had code p0058 come up, so i replaced the co2 sensor. After a few days engine light came on with code p0158....which appears to be almost the same code. whats causing p0158 if ive already changed the...

This vehicle is equiped with 2 O2 sensors 1 is before the Cat converter and 1 after the Cat converter this code is for the 1 after the Cat converter or the most rear sensor not the first 1 change the farthest one from the engine and your problem should be solved.

The vehicle was put on a diagnostic machine for loss of power and it coded the o2 sensor, and the mass air flow, and EGR valve. We put a new o2 sensor in and cleaned the mass air flow. It ran, but no...

no-- but could mean that the O2 sensor is not correct
it is a common misconception that all of the oxygen sensor are the same
the fact is that even they are known a oxygen sensors there are 2 completely different units
the sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter is in fact a heated oxygen sensor and it's function is to report the exhaust composition so that the ecm can adjust the air/fuel mixture
the other is an o2 sensor located after the cat converter and fine tunes the system after the cat converter has done it's job
if the cat converter is faulty , the o2 sensor will try to have the ECM correct the mixture
the loss of power if it is a cat converter comes from a blocked exhaust system and that is most evident at high rpms or under power

Bank 2 o2 sensor is giving a faulty reading with 2 catalitic converters which cat is the vad one

Look for the ferist 02 sensor to the front that is bank 1 sensor 1 the next closest is bank 2 sensor 1 But this could be the O2 sensor it self thats bad If the convertor were bad it would likely be restricted from proper flow so i would check the sensor before i went out and bought a new cataylic convertor

1999 miata has check engine light on. i turned it off and it stayed out for about a month. took to autozone had two codes exuast and cat. converter. whats wrong with this car?

exhaust doesnt sound like a code, there should be more to code than cat or exhaust, the cat code is probably like cta efficencey below thrushold. this means the converter is not working, the cause maybe bad cat or bad oxygen sensors, testing may be needed to see if o2 sensors are working good. the exhaust code i dont know, never heard of exhaust code, they may be caused by the same problem, start with the cat code, have o2 sensors (oyxgen sensor) checked or if over 100,000 miles replace them. if converter is bad it a very good thing to also replace the o2 sensors with the new cat.

Past experiences with that vehicle weve had to replace both front and rear converters.Check with napa they sell a direct fit converter like the oem unit.

Just put new cats on 2002 5.9L dodge durango and

P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

if you aren't getting the corresponding bank 1 sensor 1 code, P0135, you may have gotten the wrong O2 sensor, or perhaps it is defective? There is the chance that if you put some anti-seize on the O2 sensor threads or on the exhaust threads that you may have gotten something on the sensor itself clogging it up....

I believe sensor 1 is pre catalytic converter, but this code refers to the internal heater in the O2 sensor... so if all else fails, you may just have to buy or exchange for another and see if it helps your problem

O2 sensors on any vehicle are found either at the exhaust manifold outlet or within a foot or two of the outlet (looks like a spark plug with a thin wire coming out of it, screwed into the pipe) Main thing to remember is to always use anti-seize compound on the new one so you can remove it later. Some have two, one being closer to the converter, or, one on each side on v6 engines.

2001 f 250 5.4 hesitates when accelerating

Check the exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensors before the cataylic converts and see if it improves. If it does that means your cats are cloged and need to be replaced.
