How do you fix a sagging headliner in a 1995 Geo Metro?

I am reasonably well versed with the use of a screwdriver, but I can not find how to get it down out of the car. The Chiltons/Haynes manuals are no help. Do you know the procedure for removing it?

These headliners are glued to the inside of the roof. There are four huge ribbons of hard glue down almost the full length. It will tear off part of the headliner like opening a carboard box (because it is cardboard). You have to try not to bend up the headliner getting it off. The edges are glued under the door seals. Typically the seals aren't glued though, they just pull down. Those plastic plugs need more of an even pressure to pull out without damage; you might be better off with some school scissors rather than a single screwdriver, or you may find a tool at the partshouse for $5 or less. You can find plugs like that at Lowes if they're damaged, but typically just black or white only. Really you might want to shop around first. Someone around here used to advertise $50. That would be well worth skipping this kind of wrinkled, gluey hell.

You can take it down go to a fabric store or wal-mart and by the fabric glue in the spray can spray the headliner and put it back up.

Well there is the right way, and the temp fix. First off for a professional look you need to take it to an upholster. For around 150 bucks they can fix it right. But for the poor guys and girls out there a simple box of thumb tacks will do the trick. Just pick out a pattern that you like and go to thumbing away.

Geo metro 1996

I believe it will since the model of car is not greatly changed over 4 years and the 95 was the first in the revamped Geo series. They mostly just change the body style not the engine parts.

I have a 1997 geo metro and I want to use parts from it to keep my 1995 geo metro running. Is this possible? specifically an alternator.

Body parts change ever so much from year to year, but the engine parts(if same size engine) should. On the body parts, you will just have to check.

I took motor/tranny out of well maintained/well running 1994 Geo metro xf and installed them in a 1995 geo metro LSI. everything went well i had to use the 1995 intake and throttle body due to wiring...

Yes, because the specs are different... most manufatures change the specs on vehicles every four years, so 90-94 is most likely all the same, but then you will have 95-99 an so on an so on.. Good Luck

well if you know it has a blown cylinder they you need to rebuild the motor and that cant be explained over the internet. the easier thing to do is to buy a used motor and replace the whole thing. those motors and small and cheap. you will waste more time rebuilding the motor that you would just getting a cheap used one and replacing it.
