From the inside pull as much as you can and cut the bad cable tape the new cable end together REALLY good and you should be able to pull the new one right through. You may have to remove a few of the cable retainer clips for it to pull.

How to remove a parking brake release handle on a 1999 chevy blazer

Are you talking about the Foot Pedal Assembly?
Has a couple of bolts attaching it to bottom of dash and the cable running to the rear brakes. Hardest part might be unhooking the cable.

Hood release on 1999 chevy malibu does not work how can i get the hood up?roblem?

You may be able to reach from underneath the front and use something to push the cable near the hood release. The cable sounds like it broke from age and can be replaced.

Hood latch on 2001 chevy blazer will not release

Have someone "wiggle" the hood while you are pulling the handle. Don't pull too hard it breaks easily. Once open lubricate the mechanism and cable.

How to Replace hood release cable on a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. The cable is broken inside the car.

reach in behind the grille with a hooked tool and grab the cable housing pulling it outside, you should be able to peel away the plastic outer cable housing to reviel the inner steel cable. Pull on the cable, this should release the hood latch, from this point you should be able to trace the cable route for replacement.

Hiya,

This should not only be the answer to your question, but it will also hopefully tell you how to change the hood/ bonnet release cable.

2000 Chevy Blazer with Broken Hood Release. How do I open the hood

can you reach the cable itself?,or is it broke at the hood latch?IF its not broken at the outside latch, try to follow the cable,un-hook it from the handle and pull on the wire cable to open it.IF its broken at the latch itself, you are going to have to reach the latch through the grille and try to pull the lever the cable connects to.That part is no fun at all..!!

Broken hood

look under the car or behind the grill there should be a black cable running to the under side of hood.if you ''skin'' the black plastic back you will find a metal wire.now take two pairs of pliers.one to hold the black casing and one to pull the wire.that should open hood.once hood is open you'll see where cable attaches to hood latch.that cable needs replacing.
