2005 Trailblazer with no brake lights

How do you get to the brake light switch sensor on the brake pedal? Both sides of brake lights out. I replaced the bulbs for the brake lights and also replaced the switch board panel for the brake light. Any suggestions?

That sensor or switch should be at the very top of the brake pedal. You might have to remove some shielding but once that is done you should be able to see the switch. It might be a little tough to reach but with a little patience it shouldnt be to hard of a fix.

05 trailblazer ext brake lights not working but all fuses are ok

If the lights are staying on, either the brake light switch is bad, or the brake pedal is too low due to the failure of the brake system. If the pedal feels normal, replace the switch that is under the dash.

CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK ON 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER

check cruise control fuse and check the brake lights see if brake light working because the brake light switch will deactivate cruise control when brakes is applied.if brake lights dont work either fuse blowed or switch bad.if all is good have vechicle code scan because cruise control control by PCM and vechicle speed sensor and thottle actuator control motor.

Brake light switch removal on a 2005 chevy trailblazer

Hi:
Your Brake light switch is mounted up near the top of the brake pedal arm. it is held inplace with a metal pin & a clip, as well as a small electrical connector. Basically, you need to unplug the connector, remove the clip, and pull out the pin that holds the assembly in place.

2005 chev trailblazer v6 4.2 rear side brake light dont work the top rear brake light works fuse 12 front works rear seat below fuse 16 and fuse 34 good bulbs good where do i check next

CHECK FOR POWER AND GROUND AT THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE AFFECTED BRAKE LIGHT. IF THAT CHECK OUT GOOD THEN CHECK THE BULB CONNECTION FOR BURNED CONNECTORS, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. LOOPING A TEST LIGHT FROM THE POWER TO THE GROUND CONNECTION AND HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN IT SHOULD LIGHT. IF IT DON'T THE CIRCUIT BOARD IS BAD.
