Question about Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

My 1999 Buick LeSabre will occasionally not start. It is completely dead, no sound at all. I put the key on accessory and get out and wiggle the battery cables around until the lights come on, then the car will start. I have had this car two months, and this has happened three times... what could it be?

The battery cables may need to be replaced or the posts need to be cleaned. Either way there is a bad connection

Where is the starter located on my 2003 Buick LeSabre?

You have triggered the security system. Try turning the key to the ON position without starting. Wait 10 minutes. NO LESS. Turn key back, then try to start. If that doesn't work, you may need to bypass. http://diy-gm-security.com/

My 2000 Buick Lesabre will not start when i turn the key it does nothing.

I have to ask - since you didn't include any other info - do any lights work? If not - you may have a dead battery. You can attempt to jump the car or put a charger on the battery. Once started, you should drive the car w/ minimal accessories on (if jumped to start) to allow the battery to charge. You should have the batter checked for possible replacement or service very soon. There is a recall for the transmission that involves your exact problem. Call a dealer and see if your VIN is eligible for the recall. Check the NHTSA website for the exact details.
