I have a drawing on a 1999 heater motor if you want it and removal instructions. I don't have a book on the 2001 Mustang. Let me know. I believe it will be the same.

Have you checked to see if wiring is reconnected to the blower motor, and if you have power there, if not, check the fuse.

2001 nissan maxima heater blower isnt blowing

Check the fuse for the blower motor. If its okay, check for power at the heater motor. If you have power, and no blow, the blower motor will need to be replaced.

2001 f-150 blows, but no heat

there can be an air pocket in coolant hoses. did you remove any part of system lately? try to get rid of air bubble by parking car on a hill upwards running engine with heater on blower on and you will need to bleed the system by using its bleeding valve. try not to burn yourself. if there is no air inside of system, your cabin heater (radiator like small metal mesh) under dash somewhere is clogged. no way of fixing it. you will need to replace it. it is always very close to blower motor.

Heater not working properly

Over top of the blower motor you will see a 4 wire connector hooking up to what is called the blower motor resistor, the wire colors will be OG/BK,LG/WH,YE/RD,BK. It will be held on by 2 clips or screws, this is what is bad and needs to be replaced.

i've replaced three heater cores on a mustang, the only way to get to them is to remove the dashboard i believe the only way to get to the blower motor is the same way, located behind the glove compartment.
