My passenger side door window made a "pop" then the window slid down. I can't find what all the cables are about and how they operate the window. Help!

It would be helpful if I could have a routing diagram of the cable and where it attaches at the ends. Also is there an easy way to get behind the door panel and hav access to the cable and rollers.

The bottom of the window rail may have fallen off. You can remove all the screws of the door panel Remove window & lock controls by prying them up. Then take a big flat-head screwdriver and pry directly next to the plastic pins that hold panel on the door. Then look inside and you will see the bottom of the window, You will see the guide that holds window in place. See if and how it can be reattached. Let me know how it goes.

Lockout Switch Feature
The window lockout switch, when closed, provides power to the passenger door switches enabling normal window operation and when the lockout switch is open, power is cut to the passenger door switches disabling window operation. Normal window operation is still available from the driver master control.

How do I remove the door panel from the front passenger side of my dodge avenger 2010. I don't see any screws. Does it just pull off?

Try google images but you will likely need a special jemmy type tool from a parts house or accessory shop. There are probably pop studs located all around the edge of the door panel and will need care to release, thats what the tool is for. The window mechanism will have jumped its track or if cable operated come adrift. All will be revealed. try ramforumz.com for help

Take off passenger side door panel 2006 honda pilot

This procedure will require one special tool from an auto parts dealer to remove the window crank, door handle release, and to get behind the panel to pop the keepers out that are attached to the back of panel and just press into the holes in the door. Slide this tool in between the panel and door, find position of each keeper, and pop them out of the hole. Use the tool to push the spring clips from the window crank and slid the crank handle off, then remove the panel. If has power windows, just unplug the wire harness from the buttons.

How do I realign the passenger side window?

WINDOW GLASS REMOVAL

NOTE: Window glass must be operable in order to remove door assembly carrier. Any malfunction that prevents the window (manual or power) from being lowered must be corrected before proceeding.

  • Remove door trim panel.
  • Pry out sealing plugs in door assembly carrier to gain access to window glass securing bolts.
  • Lower window until window glass securing bolts are accessible.
NOTE:
If the power window motor is not working it can be renmoved to allow the window to be slid down.

  • Loosen window glass securing bolts and carefully press glass securing clamps apart.
NOTE:
If glass is being replaced due to breakage, remove door assembly carrier and remove broken shards of glass to prevent rattling noises in door.

  • Carefully lower the window regulator.
  • Lift window glass up and pivot forward, starting at the taller end of the glass. Pivot forward towards the direction of the side mirror.
  • Place removed window glass in a secure location.
WINDOW GLASS INSTALLATION

  • Slide forward part of window glass into opening and pivot glass downward, reversing the removal proceedure.
  • Raise window regulator until window glass securing bolts are visible in access holes on door assembly carrier.
  • Gently press window in the direction of the door latch or highest part of glass and tighten securing clamp bolts.
  • Remainder of installation is the reverse of disassembly.
  • Check operation of window before final installation of door trim panel.

Passenger side window in 2004 Honda Odyssey: The cable is no longer connected to the rail. Where does the cable reattach to the rail? It's hard to see inside the frame of the door.

This tells me the regulator is broken, the cable may have poped or a plastic wheel guide broke, you will need to replace the regulator, heres a picture to help explain what i'm talking about,fb9a2c2.jpg

My passenger side power window has slipped off the track. How to repair it?

there are two possibilites there is a retainer chain connector made of plastic links it it fell down and does not come up it could be there broken in door well frame ...replace at dealer only .. IF its comming up crooked you can remove the door panel by removing the window handle or any other obstrucion to this access panel See if it has just slid off at the bottom of the track

these panels are testy they pop out but rarely go back as easy as they pop off so be patient on re assembly they pop into a small hole they are soft plastic and metal retainer so they can bend as well
