Fuel gauge wiring diagram my 2002 explorer gas gauge go from emtiy to full

its proly the fuel sending unit in the tank unfortunatly u may have to replace the whole unit. it could be the cluster . meaning the gauges themselves but they run off the computer u would have to replace the whole cluster as well either way it gonna cost ya a couple bucks. try your local salvage yards.

1970 Ford F100 Gas Gauge Not Working

It may be the sending unit in the tank that needs replacing. Here's how you can check: Turn the key on and disconnect the sender unit at the gas tank. Ground the sender unit's wire with a jumper wire from the truck's harness to ground. Watch the gauge. If the gauge on the dash is good, grounding the sender wire will cause the gauge needle to react and should move to full. This would indicate a new sending unit is required. If the gauge doesn't move when the sender unit is grounded, the gauge is bad and needs replacing. Pull the instrument cluster out to replace the gas gauge. Likely any old ford gas gauge might work-back then, there were not so many production changes.

1999 PLY GRND VOYAGER GAS GAUGE WOULD NOT READ GAS AFTER HALF TANK, JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE FUEL PUMP AND STILL NOT FIX

You forgot to mention the FLOATER in your tank,To do this, you have to drop the tank but be extra careful you're working with gasoline.De-pressurised it first before you start. Oh yes, disconnect battery.!!

Need to replace the gas tank on my 93 Maxima. Has a leak. What would be the cost? is it fairly inexpensive?

No, not really if you are a do it yourself person. Head to a salvage yard and grab an old-school Maxima tank. Most yards have the tanks sitting in the rear seat of the cars there. Tanks are either strapped up or bolted up, and are usually easy to replace, so long as there are not extra components or pumps included with them. $50-60 to do it yourself and $120 + for professional shops.

1992 ford explorer 4.0 4x4 gas gauge works on and off and not at all know. fuses are good &the instrument panel works.

Locate wire on fuel tank sender unit ( usually thru plate under or behind back seat or underneath vehicle) remove wire (Push on clip) ond with ignition on earth wire and see if gauge goes to full If it does it's the tank unit stuffed so replace the tank unit otherwise could be gauge it's self Try this first

My gas gauge on my 93 ford mustang quit working. the gauge is stuck on full. Help

i suspect a broken wire between guage and sender unit in tank, but the sending unit could be bad, find the wire to the float guage in the tank and disconnect it, if fuel level does not change then then touch the wire to a ground, if the guage changes then the wire is ok and the unit is bad, if it does not change check wiring and guage for faults.

Could be a bad cluster. If one is cable driven, and the other electric. You could have a bad speed sensor in the transmission which will make the speedo not work.
