Spark plugs wire's can they get to hot and start melting from motor?

Newer cars run hot enough under the hood to cause belts, hoses and spark plug wires to break down more quickly than older cars, so yes, plug wires that are old may start to melt, especially if car runs hot or is used in hot climate. Wires should be changed every 3 to 5 years, or even more often in hot climates or high performance use. Use only OEM quality or better wires.

My 302 Ford is catburated and is in my ranger, it starts awesome cold but when it gets hot it turns over and tries to start hard but it won't start. What is the problem?

Check your plug wires at the plug for spark. Most likely loosing spark. Could come from distributor, cap, rotor, plug wires or coil. If you no spare at the wires, see if it has spark from the coil. Please report back and we will go from there.

2002 suzuki grand vitara not starting when hot have to leave it 15 minutes before it will start again

what engine, 2L I-4 or 2.5L V6? post engine, for best answers
or Post VIN, or open hood (USA) look up see EPA vacuum sticker. that tells you the engine type.
ever do the 60,000 mile tune ups, 120k, 180k,etc?
1: after the tune up.
Ill assume it cranks robustly but does not start hot.
2: does using the op guide recommended WOT method start car
when dead? ( press right foot to floor, crank , bingo it starts)
If true that means it was flooded. post back if true.
3: if it dont start WOT (wide open throttle)
that means, its lost spark or lost fueling.
so check for spark using a new , gapped proper test spark plug.
got spark? no , post bad, Ive no spark hot.
4: gots spark but will not start. so use test fuel.
starts now>
A: for only 3 seconds, it runs but then stops. each attempt.
yes, then you have fuel pump issues, (no didnt say bad pump!!!)
no, engine issues. hot motor , has lost compression?
yes> post compression on all cylinders warm to hot. WOT.
or watch scotty do it. (oldest story on cars, ever, no start , 100 years)

96 corsica wont start when hot replace crank sensor and still does it 2.2 any help

nice guess. hot soak failures.
you failed
you failed to check spark, if spark is good, then it not that.
4 spark plugs tested,(ever tune it up?) and use a timing
light to see if it hits everytime and on the mark,
yes, timing lights work on cranking motors,
they do not prove spark intensity only test spark plug does that.
when hot? what's hot?

does that mean out door too hot or engine coolant.?
we have 85f temps now. air temp.. but you?
so... no location stated. make any help at all hard.
hot engine no starts.
1: engine gets hot and looses compression
2: lost spark. (yes, the Cam sensor can fail hot block. yes)
3: lost fueling, or floods,?
the tests are simple and do them in order to save huge wastes of time and guessing and huge wasted cash on useless parts.

you could just watch scotty. it gets this right. (skip ad)

1988 honda accord lxi- will start if I spray starting fluid into the throttle body. will not start in hot weather

Clogged fuel injectors. Or, starting fluid is basically high octane fuel which doesnt require efficient or hot spark plugs to start, so maybe you need to look at your ignition system, especially your spark plugs, wires, or cup rotors -- perhaps they are not delivering a hot enough spark for regular fuel. While at it, also check the ignition timing. In other words, clean your injectors and get a tune up. Finally, make sure the throttle body is not leaking air.

1987 Jeep YJ Hard to start hot

Sounds like a bad distributor control module. You blew-up your muffler because there was no spark.....lots of fuel in the exhaust....then an intremittent spark......BOOM!
Once the module cools off, it works again, because the crack in the circuit board re-connects....until it gets hot again, and opens the circuit........no more spark. Replace the module.
