Check the oil...even the radiator might be out of water...of course, check it when the engine temperature is cool...you do not want to open a hot radiator. Also, it these fluids are o.k., it might need an oil change...your pistons might be getting stuck due to a need of an oil change. Also, with a 2001 model, you might want to up your gasoline to MID instead of REGULAR. Regular is cheaper, hence, it is what you get.

1999 chrysler sebring low oil pressure at idle

It may be the oil pump. If the gauge is going up when the rpms increase it's probably not the gauge or pressure switch. If the computer senses the oil pressure is low it will shut the vehicle off to try to save it's self from catastrophic failure. Also it may start cranking longer before starting. Thats it building oil pressure before the computer will let it start. Make sure oil is full, clean & thick.

2002 2.7 liter chrysler has a knock in the engine. sounds like it is coming from the valves

if the car has alot of miles on it , a little bit of top engine noise is nothing to worry about. if the car does'nt have alot of miles on it or the noise is real loud then you may have a lose valve or need rocker arm ajustment.

What is engine knocking noise

Engine knocking noise is that sound from the engine that sounds like a knock. It is caused when there is an increased metal to metal contact, due to friction n wear of parts n it is mostly associated wid insufficient circulation of engine oil to the engine parts hence increase in friction n the noise. It is a warning to be taken seriously or the engine might finally pack up. This is what we finally refer to as a knocked engine. Sometimes in such extreme cases replacement might be d only solution.

I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring. It makes a knocking noise in the morning when the engine is cold. It last a minute or two then goes away. I only hear it in the morning when the engine is cold What could be...

This could only be a couple of things, either you have a lash adjuster that is sticking, or a bad crankshaft bearing. I would recommend that you run a thinner weight oil, like a 10w30. I would recommend that you change your oil and substitute a quart of oil for a can of Seafoam. The Seafoam will clean your engine, and will not hurt the oil, or to run it until your next oil change. I would also recommend that you use a good oil filter, like a Fram extra guard that has a check valve in it which will not lose oil pressure overnight.

My breaks keep grinding and I already payed to get them serviced. I hear knocking noises when I turn. whats the problem?

Usually, a noise when turning is related to an axle problem. The bearing may be going bad. Have it looked at!
