SOURCE: how to change a headlight light bulb on toyota prius 2006?

they are usually changed from inside the engine compartment. you should be able to gain access to the bulb behind each headlight bazel. the socket often has to be turned to remove it. be careful not to touch the new bulb with your fingers as that will shorten it's lifespan. you may have to remove the battery if the burnt out bulb is on that side.

I just bought a 2005 Prius..what are some tips for a new Prius owner? Things I need to know? Also can I turn off the beeping when in reverse?? Its annoying! Thanks

you have two coolant systems on a hybrid. both systems should of had the coolant changed (due @100k). Spark plugs should of been changed (due @120k). those re the two high mileage maintence items I would be sure were done. Toyota dealer can change the beep to a single beep instead of a constant beeping.

And changed gear from neutral to park and tried starting. but it won't start again when i tried. is it ignition box problem or anything else ?

You can check the ignition module by pulling a spark plug wire and inserting an old spark plug. Any plug should do, just make sure to rest the base of the plug to a good ground source. Crank the engine while someone looks at the plug for spark.

Prius rough engine

Poor engine performance could be due to:
1. Engine Compression.
2. Electronic throttle control system.
3. Fuel Injector/ Injectors.
4. Fuel pump control circuit.
5. Spark plug.
6. Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF).

Have you checked your fuel filter? Also, changing your spark plugs can give you better gas mileage too.

Toyota Prius starting problem

There's a known problem with the early Toyota Prius (2001 - 2003), when running the engine for a long period of time without moving or when the car is driven only for short trips (short city driving), the Prius might not start.

You have to change the original battery with a 356 CCA which is bigger because the battery is bigger you also have to change what is holding it into place.
