Question about 2001 Chevrolet Express

Oil pressure (check guages)

The warning lites come on and the oil pressure guage is very low. Never stays steady at all.
I have the same problem with oil leaking under the van. It can get so bad that when I am going faster than 40mph u can see blue smoke in the rear. The oil is splahing under the under carriage assembly. I had the van at the same repair shop 2 privious times. Now this would be a 3rd time and I still have the same problem. The owner said he replaced some type of plate or seal in the front. You have to remove the water pump to get to this part. Help

2006 f150- temperature gauge stays cold but "check gauges" flashes in mini message center.

Since the temp gauge is not working correctly, you get the warning message.
Could be a faulty temp sensor or a problem in the wiring harness.

Normal oil pressure at operating temperature should be around 40 lbs, 30 at an idle. Either you have a bad oil pressure sending unit or you actually have low oil pressure that indicates a serious engine problem.

My brother has leant me his 1993 Ford fairmont EB11. A red light is flashing intermiitanly it looks like a fan in some kind of cylinder. Could someone tell me what it is?

  • Full instrumentation pack (four ancillary guages plus tachometer) - with volt meter & oil pressure guage.
  • Speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, fuel guage & water temperature guage standard in addition to the above.
  • WARNING LIGHTS: High beam, rear window demist on, turn signal / hazard light, alternator fail, lights on, park-brake on, washer fluid low, radiator coolant low, cruise control indicator and low oil pressure.
  • AUDIBLE WARNING CHIMES: low fuel, lights on, low alternator charge, low oil pressure, high coolant temperature and brake failure.
  • Trip Computer standard featuring fuel consumption figures, distance to empty, average speed & time display.
I found this site, no mention of the fan in a cylinder, but I'll let you figure it out. Hope this helps.

Ford focus engine warning light stays on and engine noisey

Always stop car and check oil when you hear any unusual engine noise. Could have low oil pressure or level. Do you have an oil pressure guage.

Oil light came on and dings. Just had oil changed? What could be the cause?

First, pull the dipstick on the engine and make sure you've got sufficient oil in the pan.
If not, DON"T drive it until you have sufficient oil as indicated on the dipstick
Alot of these chryslers don't have oil pressure guages, only lites to tell you when you are dangerously low on oil. if this is the case, be sure not to drive it until you have this issue resolved.
It also could be that the oil pressure sensor wire got knocked off the motor.
Be sure to have a mechanic put an oil pressure guage on your engine to physically check if you're getting oil pressure.
Don't take any chances on this... it means the difference between a running engine and one that is siezed..

Oil pressure warning light is buzzing and i've replaced the sensor on my 94 vw golf

Could be a few things, I assume you've checked the oil level. You could have a worn engine and therefore low oil pressure, could need a new oil pump. you can connect a mechanical oil guage to check whether it is a problem with your guage
