Question about 1993 Dodge Caravan
This happens in the summer months. I start up the van, put it in drive and everything is fine. If I idle at a place like a drive thru everything is still fine. Put it into drive again and it hicups severely and eventually stalls. Sometimewhen I pull off to the side turn off the engine and back on again everything is ok but most of the time the same problem of hicupping and stalling happens again. The only way to get it around the block is to keep pumping the pedal. When I try the van next day, the car runs fine untill it idles again. It really does happen more on hot humid days... bizzare. I have taken it to three places with no luck.
I had the same problem. you have to either keep replacing the filter until the line has cleaned out or blow the filter out with an air hose. Tedious but cheap.
