Programing keyless entry for a 2006 Pontiac G6

Greetings, I recently purchased two keyless remotes for my 06 G6, it has remote start and the remotes are the correct ones. I was hoping to program these without going to a dealer, only thing i could find on the web ask you to remove the Mall PGM fuse and work through some steps - for the life of me I see no fuse that says it's a Mall PGM. Is it possible to program these or is the dealer my only shot, thanks Roy.

Do not circumvent the process. Take all your FOBs to a Pontiac/GM dealer. Pay the $40ish to get it all done and walk away with officially programmed FOBs. There is no other way to do this unless you have the highly expensive scan tools they use. Just bite the bullet

Keyless remote wont work

Many times if you purchase a used vehicle, the car lot only provides the key because they do not want to spend the money to purchase a key fob. A 2006 Lancer either has a 2 or 3 button keyless entry remote which you can find here: http://replacemyremote.com/

How can i start my car without Remote keyless entry?

Use the driver's door key cylinder> Lock and unlock the car with the key after all doors are closed and this should solve the problem. If not, then it has nothing to do with the RKE Transmitter.

Remote start

first make sure you have the keyless start entry setup. if u do then you need to lock the door with the transmitter after you lock the door press the start button and hold it down until it starts. It usually takes three or four seconds.
