Question about 1988 Toyota Supra
When I first start the car it will spit and sputter until I pump the gas and sometimes it will die or won't start at all but you can come back 6 hours later and it will start. Please help. Its not the fuel pump done checked it.
If Engine Starts with accelerator pedal depressed , check idle speed control valve (if equipped) and wiring connection. Did you check for vacuum leaks. Do you know if your ignition timing is correct? How did you check your fuel pump? I take it no codes have been set, so if not there are several things to check for when the engine stalls #1 is to check cold start injector and cold start injector time switch. If engine stalls sometimes- check airflow meter and connectors You can tap the connector or relay or wiggle and notice if there is a slight change in the engine idle.
