VIN is WAUAA24B0WN070597 and serial number is AUZ5Z6V0030372. Don't know radio unlock code. The audi dealer wants to charge me $150 to hook it up to a machine with satellite to Germany to get code. "Could take up to 2 hours" they tell me. Anyone with access to get code???

You will need to get that info from a.) your owners manual - which you may not have if it's a used car, or contact the dealer or Audi directly - they will ask for the serial number for the radio, and the VIN. If they don't match, you may have a problem because they can't be sure it wasn't pulled from one car and sold, stolen, whatever. etc. Is this the original radio installed in the original vehicle?
Radio lock out codes are security related and where
supplied with the original paper work when the car was delivered to the
original owner to discourage theft, so they are not published on the web, if they were what would be the point? Any thief could get the code
after stealing your radio.
Contact the dealer for instructions and what
info u need to get your cars unique radio code. The dealer will require
the serial number off the radio and proof of ownership of the car it
hi, the only place you can get this code from is the main dealers you use to be able to get them over the phone but they no longer do this as thieves were knicking the stereos then ringing up and getting the unlock code and then selling them on, so all car dealers now will only give the code out if you take the car to them and the owners documents and some id they wont charge for giving you this code but make sure you write it down for future reference.
Im sorry their is no easy fix for this problem but its going to be a case of taking the car to the main dealers and asking them for the code this will then solve your problem.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
The only way to get this code is to either have it in the owners manual or go to the dealer. The dealer has to get online using the factory scan tool and put in the VIN and radio serial number to generate a radio code via the Audi Server.
try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
I just posted a solution for this problem. It comes straight from the radio manual. The dealer should have told you this. If you want him to do it he'll charge money for his time. IF YOU LOST YOUR CODE. THE DEALER CAN HELP YOU OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE:
