I'm having the same problem. The LCD display works when it wants. Sometimes it's bright, like there is nothing wrong with it, other times it's completely dark. If I put pressure on the display it seems to work though. Weird. Took it to the dealer and they said it need to be replaced at the tune of $450. I'll just use my NAV screen at that rate to get the information I need. Still is annoying though.

Try another battery. Sometimes a battery might have enough amp to turn the lights on, open and close the windows, and even beep the horn. Sometimes it might even display that it have the right amp, but in reality the battery is damage giving you the wrong information.
Test with another battery, you could borrow one from a friend. Being there, done that.
not sure about that one but there is a dimmer wheel by the light switch. move it up and down to dim and brighten the dask lights/cluster. wheel may need replacing. also work the lights on and off switch manually to see if there every thing works smooth or hopes from dim to brite.
This is a problem will all vehicles eventually. You will have to replace the display, if it bothers you or no longer operable. These typically have to be replaced at the dealer or body shop because they have to recertify your odometer reading. Sorry, I don't have better news.
The problem is most likely the AC compressor clutch connector.
It is a one pin connector. Located under the hood, near the clutch of the AC compressor. Clean this connector, make sure there is a good connection. I had the same problem and had to fix it myself. Works fine ever since.
Do all of your dash lights work? Does it keep time and or radio stations in the memory? sometimes vehicles have a fuse that runs only that part of the radio if it is stock. The dimmer control could also be all the way down, if you dome light don't light bright, then that could be your problem, turn it the other way, it should be on the left side of the dash near the headlight control. hope this helps.
