2007 rav 4.Battery light came on, drove 20 miles on hwy. stopped, shut car off.started car with a very slow crank. Power steering was gone, all warning lights came on barely made it home. now dead.

Used your battery up just getting home. Now recharge the battery, and test the charging system- could be a bad alternator not charging the battery.

Normally, the alternator powers all the car's electrical needs when the engine is running. If the alternator fails, the battery will then be used to run the electrical needs until the battery is depleted, then the car will shut down. Dead, just like yours. No big deal, just find out why the charging system stopped.

1993 buick roadmaster won't start. 12.6v at the battery, less than 10v on the dash voltmeter.

I should think that you tested the battery voltage with a multi meter and you would expect 12.6 volts . However if you test a battery use a load tester that simulates the battery under load as from a starter and you would find that the 12.6 volts drops to the red zone . have a load test done on the battery and you will probably find a faulty cell

94 buick 3.8 engine not charging Battery right

Its a fairly simple system. The alternator gets a signal from the circuit for the warning light and-or gauge to activate the voltage regulator inside the alternator. The large wire between the alternator and the battery or starter is fused for protection.
Could be a problem with that circuit back to the instrument cluster, or the circuit to the battery, or a ground connection. You could also have a second defective alternator.

I have a 1993 buick road master it runs great when its going.when i put it in reverse or turn the wheel to hard or come to a complete stop it cuts of but starts right back up can anybody help???

the alternator is weak. get a voltometer and test the positive and negative leads at the battery. they should test above 14 volts at idle, if they test lower than 14 volts, you need a new alternator.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

There can be a wounded wire somewhere so I strongly suggest that you check the electrical wirings. The spark is normal but to be sure please check the wirings.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I need a fuse and relay diagram for a 1995 buick lesabre, car cut off (no power), it will not jump off either, making a clicking noise behind the glove compartment , is it electrical , the alternator , it...

The fuses and relays are on the back fire wall under the hood.Just remove the plastic cover. This is not a fuse problem but more than likely a bad battery or charging system problem.Check the battery.Have it load tested and have your charging system tested also.Make sure all the cable connections on the battery and alternator are all clean and tight.Hope this helps.Good luck.

94 roadmaste heater moter wont blow, tested motor

if the motor does't work at all then it's probably the motor,if the resister is gone you should still have high,it does'nt go through the resister.you may have a bad ground to the resister, you may need a relay.

first thing is make sure your battery connections are clean, a little corrosion can cause a lot of problems at these low temperatures. make sure that the other ends of the battery cables are clean too. Hope this solves your problem.

Battery goes dead after car sits for 3-4 days

Parasitic drain? If so, did they run a test light on the negative terminal? Unhook the negative battery cable, run a test light between the negative battery post and the negative (removed) cable end. Does the light come on? If so, remove each fuse, one at a time, when you hit the circuit that is draining, the light will go off.

I have a 95 Buick Roadmaster and it was doing the same thing. It was a broken light in the trunk, the bulb was out, but the electricity was still there. The wire became damaged when my daughter overloaded the trunk. Just a couple of ideas...
