Your motor only need one power and one ground to work, the resister takes care of the speeds so this must be an universal motor and should still work.

Put a 1996 mustang v6 motor into a 1995 mustang that had a v6 now I can't get any fire

There should be a distributor module screwed to the side distributor, Make sure it did not get damaged or try putting the original one on the motor you just installed. There is special tool for the screws , It cost about $12.00 the d module itself cost about $60.00, I hope this helps and that it fixes your problem. Michael

I have a 2002 v6 mustang. I installed a used 2002 v6 engine 3 weeks ago because my spark plug threads tore on my original. NOW i have 4 cyclinders misfireing, tranny shifts late or after i let off the...

its a well known cause that if the motor is running really bad the tranny will **** or act bad your gonna have to find the problem with the miss firing cyclinders and fix it doing this make fix your tranny problems you can clear most computer codes by unhooking the battery for about 10 min and then start it and see if the engine light comes back on that will give you a new set of codes you will have to have them read and fix what they are.

My coolin fan for my engine wont run? how do i fix it? 98 ford mustang gt

okay heres what causes not to kick in,
1 a bad motor
2 bad tempeture sensor
3 bad/defected fuse or relay.
check the fuses and your fan relay first. swap them around to test is every thing well then test the motor dirtectly, if its fine and works, then tempeture sensor on the engine. remove the harness and put a jumper wire on the prongs and what it kick the fan in. have the ign on with engine off for this. if it works replace the sensor.
hope this help you.

Need to replace the coolant fan,,,My husband wants to do it himself..Has anyone tried this ??? I have a 2003 Turbo Pt Cruiser

its very easy. The fan is usually held in place with 3 or 4 small screws. The has a wiring connector you have to unplug. You may want to check and see if the problem is actually a bad fan motor. It could just as easily be the temp sensor... I would disconnect the wiring harness and put 12 volts onto the fan to verify the fan is bad... Good luck
