Instructions: (Click images to Enlarge)
  1. Stop the windshield wipers when they are in the up position. Since the filter will be placed on the passenger side, this will make it easier to access the panel.
  2. In the center of the windshield, there is a small plastic circle piece. Pry it off with the flathead screwdriver, and set it aside in a safe place. Remove the screw you have uncovered. (See picture) This will make it easier to remove the panel you are about to remove.
  3. There are 3 plastic locking clips holding the cover down. Use your flathead screwdriver to GENTLY pry them up. Once they are up, give the whole piece a little tug up and to the left. You will see the slot where the filter goes.
    • BE CAREFUL!!!! Everything is made of plastic, and everything can break. Take your time, and don't get frustrated.
  4. In this slot, there is an eggcrate style plastic piece retaining the space where your filter is about to be placed. Pull up and out on it to remove it. You will not need this piece, so you can discard it, or keep it in a safe place.
  5. Remove your filter from the box.
    • Note: which side is to be placed "up".
  6. Slide the filter into the casing, ensuring a snug fit.
  7. Replace everything you removed by reversing the steps above.
  8. Go in the car, and blast the vent, to remove any dust, etc. that may have been in the vents.
  9. Enjoy your clean air! You will notice that your interior will stay cleaner for longer periods of time, and you can breathe easier!!

SOURCE: How do you replace a Cabin Air Filter and air filter for vented front seats?

Good Day
Here is the step to step to change the filter.

The filter is located under the right side of the instrument panel, in the HVAC housing. Trim panel may have to be removed to gain access to the filter.

now for the seats I can not fine that anyway for filters. I don't think there is filters for the seats because it uses cabin air, that is already filtered.
I can send you how the seats work if you like? let me know how you make of in changing the filter.

Cheers

According to the shop manual you do not have one.
Air Distribution and Filtering adobe.gif Printable View (79 KB) NOTE: The air distribution system of this vehicle cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter.
There are 2 sources of air available to the air distribution system:

  • Outside air
  • Recirculated air
Recirculated air is automatically used when the electronic manual temperature control mode selector is set in the MAX A/C or OFF modes and can be selected in any mode other than MAX A/C, OFF or DEFROST by selecting the RECIRC button. Recirculated air is available in all modes except DEFROST. If the vehicle is equipped with an electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) system, recirculated air is used in OFF and is available in all modes except DEFROST. RECIRC mode is a timed function in FLOOR and FLOOR/DEFROST.
Air distribution within the vehicle is determined by the electronic manual temperature control (EMTC) function selector switch position, or is controlled by the EATC system in the AUTOMATIC mode. The air distribution mode on EATC vehicles may be overridden by the driver if desired. Air distribution doors are used to direct airflow within the heater core and evaporator core housing and the plenum chamber. An electronic mode door actuator is used to position these air distribution doors. One air inlet mode door is used to switch between FRESH or RECIRC air inlet. An electric actuator is used to position the air inlet mode door.
Air enters the passenger compartment from the:
  • instrument panel A/C registers.
  • heater outlet floor ducts.
  • windshield defroster duct.
  • side window demisters.
  • center flow-through console (if equipped).
Passenger compartment air is exhausted from the vehicle through open windows or body air vents.

SOURCE: how to replace cabin air filter in 2003 pilot

Step 1 Take everything out of the glove box on the passenger side. Squeeze the black clips on either side of the glove box interior to free it from its retainer and pull it toward you. It will glide forward on hinged arms. Lower it as much as possible so it's out of your way.

  • Step 2 Identify the gray plastic bar that runs from left to right across the bottom of the glove box opening. This is a piece of plastic molded to the rest of the glove box assembly, but it covers up a removable bar that is mounted directly in front of the cabin air filtermag-glass_10x10.gif case. You'll have to cut this plastic bar off with a razor knife to proceed. Fortunately, this isn't too difficult; just cut carefully and steadily, and make your cuts as close as possible to the ends of the bar.
  • Step 3 Remove the metal bar you uncovered in the previous step. It is screwed into the glove box assembly with Phillips head screws on either side.
  • Step 4 Open the cabin air filter case, which is the large plastic case on the left side off the glove box opening. The hatch will come all the way off when you open it.
  • Step 5 Take the old air filter out of the case and throw it away.
  • Step 6 Look at the arrows on the filter and the arrows on the filter case that indicate the direction of the air flow. Slide the new filter into place so that the arrows are both pointing the same way.
  • Step 7 Put the lid back on the air filter case and reinstall the metal bar you removed in Step 3.
  • Step 8 Push the glove box interior compartment back into place and listen for the snapping sound. Put the glove box contents back, close the lid and you're done.

How do i change the cabin air filter in my 2003 ford expidition

Locate the cabin air filter container on your Ford Expedition. If you are standing in front of the vehicle, looking at the engine, it will be on the back, left side of the engine, next to the heater fan. You will see a black cover over the top of the container. The air filter is approximately 6" x 9" and about 2" deep. Look for a black casing that will be about 10" across and 8" high. The box sits vertically against the firewall of the vehicle.
    Step 2
Remove the cover of the cabin air filter by lightly prying on it with a screwdriver. The cover is secured with plastic tabs that pop off quite often. If this happens, you can buy replacements at your local automotive store.
    Step 3
Remove the cabin air filter, and vacuum out the container to remove any dust or debris. Wipe it down with a clean damp cloth and let the inside of the container dry before inserting new filter.
    Step 4
Place new cabin air filter in container and secure the cover, replacing tabs if needed. Remove tools from engine compartment and close hood.
    Step 5
You are now able to enjoy driving with clean air flowing through the inside of your car.

    Cabin air filter

Tools needed are a Phillips screwdriver. Open the hood. Notice the cover for the cabin filter is on the cowl on the passenger side. Remove the screw form the cover. Remove the cover by pulling toward the front of the vehicle. The filter is now visible. Remove by pushing up on the filter to loosen from housing and then pulling out toward the front of the vehicle.
Replace with clean cabin filter. Replace cover by lining up the notches on either side of the cover plate to the grooves in the filter housing. Replace the screw in the cover plate.

Good luck and hope this helps.
