It is the side with the gray or black cap on it. The high side won't fit the can you are trying to fill from. They dummy proofed it pretty good. Only one will fit. Also, the A/C has to be running and on Max before you register a pressure and fill. If it is off it will read high.

if the compressor kicks on then it may not need gas, you may have another problem, caution dont blow up can or system, if the can is connected to low side and the compressor is running then it should take the freon.

Want to add refrigerant. air conditioner not very cool. which is low pressure port for adding r134a coolant?

The newer cars have 2 ports. The large port which is the high side and small port, low side. The kit you buy to refill the air cond will fit only one of the ports and that's the small port. You don't want to hook up on the high side so, this is why ports are sized and the gauge will only fit one. The low side should be near the evaporator or on the evaporator.

Looking to recharge the a/c myself on a 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo and I need to see a diagram of where to hook it up corectly.

OK, the low pressure side has the thicker tubing on it, and just follow it from the compressor until you see a quick connect for the hose that you use to fill it with r134a, one can at a time.

R134a recharger nozzle won't fit on low pressure service port.

The low pressure port on the 2003 grand am is actually behind the engine, near the firewall on the passenger side. Good luck getting your hose down there though, I ended up buying an extension hose.

How do I locate the low side ac system connection on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2WD - 4 door V6

the low side is the smaller valve, and should have a blue cap on it... if not, look for 2 black capped valves, and the smaller on it is the low side.... the larger is the high side... hope this helps you....
