2005 Lincoln Navigator with a sealed transmission

I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator. The transmission is sealed and the dealer told me that they can't change the fluid. Yet the owners manual states that it needs replacing at 150,000 miles. Mine has about 70,000. So I asked the dealer let's pretent that it has 150,000 on it and change it. He told me he didn't know how... It has a drain and fill plug. Any suggestions

How to fix a prndl problem on my Lincoln navigator

The transmission in your Navigator is a ZF 6-speed(german transmission company) and the PRNDL sensor is internal. The transmission should not have to be removed to service the part , but the valve body of the transmission will need to be and this is not a job for a novice. The truck will need to be towed to a dealer or capable repair shop and have the switch diagnosed and a repair preformed.Good Luck!

All of a sudden my check engine light went on yesterday for my 2005 lincoln navigator. What do you think is the problem to it? I hate paying a lot of money for repairs in the dealer.

Most auto parts stores will hook up a scanner to read the code for free. That is your first step. (There are many codes, so get it read to see what yours is.)
