Question about 1998 Isuzu Trooper
Yes it can be done. Two points before you go to a lot of trouble. Isuzu are doing a recall on 3.0's and will fix any problems you have F.O.C. The other is you can buy a 1998 3.1 So for financial reasons it is not feesable but if you want to continue here's how. You will either need to buy an old Chassis rusty mot failure or accident damaged 3.1 with a good drive train. As will need a lot more then the engine. Electric accelerator has to be changed to cable so housing etc. is needed. Gearbox dosent match up but all mountings are the same. Too much to explain so if you have a 3.1 trooper just keep checking and change what is needed. A lot of bother for a 1998 and not recommended as to the expence. I would not recommend changing any older than 2001. Hope this help's. Cheer's
