Car problems I have a 2002 oldsmobile alero. It's been running fine with no problems. This morning it crank up good as usual, but down the high way it started to lose power like a ****. I pulled over for a few mins and started to go. It would exceed over 40mph before it started acting up again. Could you tell me what you think it is. Im no expert like you are, but I want to say its a clugged fuel filter, but not sure this time.

needs new turn up, like new spark plug, new plug wires, air filter, clean throttle body and intake mainfold. make sure all the small vaccum tube not black up and has vaccum present when pull out the hose.
Need more information. If the starter is cranking, then look at fuel delivery. Is there gas in the tank? Is the fuel Pump running, do you hear the electric pump run and then stop when the ignition is turned on?
Is the Check-Engine light on? Any codes?
I happen to own a 2002 alero, and alot of people says the same thing about theirs. You may need to replace you head gasket and run more antifreeze than water.
