Look to see if the window rubbers are distorted. If so, you need to replace the rubbers. If not, lubricate the rubbers with pure silicone spray. The up then 1/2 way down is a safety feature, to keep the window from squeezing on someone. The speed of the motor determines the return down, as if you arm was caught in it, the motor would slow down. So, if the rubbers are distorted or dirty, thay slow down the motor proportionally.

2002 oldsmobile silhouette van,can lower passenger window but cannot raise it, works both ways from passenger controle

You most likely have a bad switch on the drivers side. Pretty easy replacement and fix. Not bad cost wise either.

2002 sports track drivers window will not raise

Could be the motor or a relay for the auto down in the switch. my first thought is the motor though on a 02. Maybe if you take your fist and beat on the lower front part of the door panel while pushing the switch to raise the window you could jar the motor and it will go up.

Passenger side auto window does not function - Toyota Camry 1996

I have fixed these a lot. Almost always it is the button has trash in it. Take it out if you know how and clean it. Or you can get a can of compressed air , like is used for cleaning keyboards, and blow out the trash in the switch.

Power windows

Once this device has failed (broken); you need to replace it. Once the cables are off, the regulator is beyond repair. This is a common failure with this model Camry; I regularly stock several window regulators in the parts dept and replace 5-6 a month.
