Question about 2002 Porsche Boxster
My girlfriend closed the rear trunk on wine bottle, denting the back trunk and jamming the trunk. The trunk release wire broke. Where is the emergency release wire. The dealer told us that they had to remove the back bumper and it was going to be 1000 dollars in all to run a new cable and get the wine out of the trunk. At the very least we would like to get the wine out of the trunk.
The release cable is behind the rear bumper on the nearside below the tail lamp. if you remove the inner arch liner and heatshield for exhaust enough to get your hand up there to reach and pull wire as you cant remove bumper without openingthe boot.
