SOURCE: I have a 2006 kia optima codes are showing trim malfunction
Bank's is the left or right side of the engine. Bank 1 would be where the #1 spark plug side is and Bank 2 is where the #2 spark plug side. This term is used to better describe which side is which on an engine so as to not get confused to which side is which on a engine.
Thank you for using FIxya, what ever code's you have as a trim malfunction. It's indicating a Lean or rich condition on both sides of your engine, try cleaning your MAF sensor and inspecting it for any wire damages. This should fix your trim problem on both banks.

Over 20 years in the field and I can't say I've seen something like that. Are you able to send clear pics of what you found?

if your MAF is good.. Than check your air intake boot.. If that is good spray some carb clean around the intake... If your motor stumbles while spraying carb clean than you have a bad intake gasket or cracked intake.... or a serious vac leak. hope this helps
