If the belt is stll on make your own diagram before removing it. there usually is a diagram under the hood. There is a spring tensioner to release the belt. It takes between a 14 to 16 mm wrench or you may have a square hole in it to put a ratchet in. Real simple. 10 minute job

Why does my 1993 GMC suburban stall when u release the gas

the o rings on the fuel injectors are leaking and when you let off of the pedal it creates a rich condition untill it can adjust fuel trim . remove the intake upper and the fuel system is exposed replace the whole thing or get o -rings and fuel lines but the injectors were none to clog so you should replace the whole unit auto zone and advance allways has in stock its that common

How many miles can a 1993/1994 GMC Suburban go? I'm considering buying either a 1993/169,000 miles- $2,000 or a 1994/250,000 miles- $1,500....

For $1500 you really can not go wrong. I am not a big fan of domestic vehicles but the trucks from General Motors have priven to be quite durable as well as economical to repair. Parts can be found at any salvage yard or parts store saving you money on repairs. Ease of operation is great and almost anyone you meet has some knowledge of repair for these trucks. Now, for the main question.... I have personally seen these trucks go for anywhere from 150,000 - 300,000 miles depending on the strength of maintenance by previous owners. My advice would be to have $200 when you get the truck home to replace filters, fluids and spark plugs (AC Delco plugs ONLY, if you don't you will trigger a check engine light even if it is running well). If there are any cracks in the serpentine belt, replace it. When you do this, make sure that you are able to read the writing on the belt like holding a book in your hand. If not, it may cause squeeking even on a new belt. Let me know if you need anything else.

Just wondering if i need to loosen anything to change a serpentine belt for a 93 chev suburban. or can i simply move a pully far enough to get the belt on?

The tensioner pulley is spring loaded and can be moved to release tension on the belt. There is usually a square hole in the pulley bracket that will accept a 3/8" ratchet or extension.

We have a 1993 GMC Suburban with no park lights

First on your light problem, chk. fuse, you did not say if your dash lights worked or not, but it sounds like a headlight switch to me, even if your headlights work. Secound you do not have another key? If not i believe if you take the vin# to a locksmith they can make you a key. As far as the latch on the seat belt a salvage yard is your best and cheapest bet.
