Check the coolant for proper mixture, check the thermostat, check the inside of the radiator to the best of your ability, check your water pump impellors.

Explain sputter - misfire ? When ? ,idle ,all the time ? The check engine light on ? You should have it checked out , have a shop hook up professional grade scan tool , check engine data for the sensors . Could be mass air flow sensor dirty or bad ! could be a fuel problem . My 2004 tbird is getting hot (3/4 on the gauge or higher) within 5 minutes of running. I replaced the thermostat and resevore last week. What else could it be?

Could have defective water pump, there could be air trapped in the system preventing coolant to flow. You also need to verify that there actually is an overheating condition, you could have a bad temperature sensor or gauge.

1994 tbird is overheating but heater doesn't work. What could the problem be ? Already replaced raditator, water pump.

Does water flow freely through the heater core? Unplug the hoses from the heater core and put water through the inlet hose and see if it comes out through the other opening. If it's not the heater core is plugged and needs to be replaced. Try this with very little water pressure, you don't want to pop your heater core, if it's plugged, then your carpet will be soaked.

I have no break lights on my 66 tbird. There is

Those cars had the sesquential (sp?) brake lights/turn lights during those years. There is a box in the truck somewhere that needs to be by passed or replaced. I can remember such a problem on my mother's car way back in the day(years ago) It was under warranty so I don't know what they did.

Sounds like the heater core (a small radiator of sorts under the dash) is leaking or a hose going to it is leaking. If in a warm climate, you could bypass or block the heater hoses temporarily. Their only purpose is to make heat avail to interior of car. The 2 heater hoses either connect to feedthru's at the firewall or simply pass thru the firewall to the heater core. Every car I've seen has it on passenger side.

Peer up under the dash, it should be clear where it's coming from.

My tbird has a 3.8 v6 engine and is not turbo charged and is fuel injected. Still haven't found the problem for its getting to much fuel.
