Hi,
The dashboard light dimmer control is on the headlight stalk.
It is the innermost control, which you rotate around the stalk using fingers & thumb.
Best of luck.

SOURCE: headlights wont come on and bright lights won't stay on hold bright light switch and blower works

I had the same problem. The solution is simple; the ignition switch needs to be replaced. This is an easy do-it-yourself project. Here are instructions:

Check for a switch on ebay, they are about $15. After 10 years they wear out.

2008 Sebring brake lights are not working. What can it be?

The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal arm under the dashboard. It may be stuck. Remove it and use electric/electronics contact cleaner spray to restore it's action. If the spring is broken inside it, replace the switch.

I have a 2004 sebring that i bought new. the instrument cluster lights dont work, i checked interior fuses number 7 and 11 that relate to the instrument cluster illumination. they seem to be fine.

If the fuses are good there should be a dial that adjusts the brightness of the dash panel. If this dial doesn't work then the bulbs for the dash panel might be blown out.

We just bought a 2008 Sebring Chrysler. The interior and dashboard lights do not come on. What should we do? Thank you for your time and effort. Joy

Hi mg,

It's usually one of two things,

The fader/dimmer switch is set low or off.

There is a blown fuse,

The fuse panel is normally beneath the dash, drivers side, near the kick panels, It should have a cover with a legend telling which fuse does what.

You are looking for the one marked either 'Dome' or 'inst lps', pull it and hold it up to the light. If there is a break or soot replace it with the same size fuse

Best regards
Mike.

Instrument panel lights suddenly stopped working the remaining cluster lights (low fuel, check engine, etc) work fine. I checked the dimmer switch and it works fine

I also had the instrument panel go out yesterday on our 2008 Sebring LX. I wish someone could give clear answers to the problem without bringing it down to the dealership. $$$

No owners manual

There should be a switch on the dash or the headlamp switch. they will only work on LOW BEAM. it is possible that both bulbs can be bad.
